For Life
The American Cancer Society
Relay for Life was held at Bartow High School Stadium on April 11th and
12th. Each participating team set up a tent around the perimeter of
the field, each selling a product to raise money for our area cancer
research. The Floral Lakes Team sold Mardi Gras beads, grab bags and
raffle items. Each team was required to have at least one person walking
the track at all times. There are twenty Floral Lakers on the Relay
for Life Committee and many more participants. They helped to raise and
donate $5,633.00 this year.
